Electrical Engineer – Water & Irrigation Infrastructure

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical engineering expertise for potable water supply and irrigation infrastructure projects. The role covers design review, procurement, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with international standards and HSSE guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Support needs assessments and design of power supply, pumps, control systems and solar PV for water and irrigation projects.
• Prepare, verify and review electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, bills of quantities and tender documents.
• Coordinate site inspections, produce detailed reports and monitor contractor performance against contracts and standards.
• Assist in the planning, scheduling and integration of design activities with multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee system testing, commissioning, training and hand‑over to beneficiaries.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Plans, HSSE requirements and international best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical design for water supply, irrigation or similar infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with international standards, HSSE guidelines and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
