Logistician & Driver for Emergency Operations

About the role

The Logistician‑Driver will ensure safe transportation for EMERGENCY staff and provide comprehensive logistical support for the Al Rastan Hospital and associated offices in Damascus. The role blends driving duties with logistics management, procurement assistance, and facility maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable transport for staff and authorized personnel, maintaining vehicle roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
• Support staff logistics, including accommodation and travel arrangements during stays in Damascus.
• Manage office and guesthouse supplies, maintaining minimum stock levels and accurate asset records.
• Assist technical teams with facility and infrastructure maintenance planning.
• Conduct market assessments, update supplier databases, and supervise local procurement processes in line with organizational policies and donor regulations.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of goods and services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics and driver responsibilities within an operational setting.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures, supplier management, and market assessments.
• Ability to maintain vehicles, ensure safety compliance, and keep accurate logistical records.
• Strong coordination skills to work with technical teams and support facility maintenance.
