Operations Coordination Center & Planning Manager

About the role

The Operations Coordination Center (OCC) & Planning Manager leads the 24/7 OCC, ensuring real‑time monitoring, communication and control of airport operations. The role coordinates resources, shift schedules and ground handling activities to guarantee seamless flight turn‑arounds, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily OCC activities, maintaining situational awareness and coordinating responses to flight delays and disruptions.
• Plan and allocate manpower, equipment and vehicles through shift rosters and resource scheduling.
• Monitor real‑time flight operations and communicate proactively with airlines, ATC and airport departments.
• Disseminate operational updates, incident notifications and performance reports to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain contingency and irregular operations (IROPS) plans.
• Supervise turnaround coordination to achieve on‑time performance and safety standards.
• Analyse operational metrics, conduct performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update SOPs in line with SMS and QMS requirements.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, airlines and airport stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and performance development for OCC and planning teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Operations or a related field.
• 8–10 years of airport operations or OCC experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience with airline operations control, resource planning systems or ground handling management is preferred.
• Safety, airside or operational planning certification is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of airport operations, flight coordination and ground handling processes.
