Pediatrician – Specialized Doctor

About the role

The Independent Doctors Association (IDA) seeks a qualified Pediatrician to deliver high‑quality child health services at its primary health centre in Abu Khashab, Northern Deir Al‑Zoor. The role involves direct patient care, supervision of clinical protocols, and participation in community health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide competent pediatric consultations and treatments according to the schedule set by the Health Coordinator.
• Supervise adherence to national and international treatment guidelines for all physicians.
• Respond to emergencies, organize centre workflow, and document required treatment information.
• Take part in vaccination campaigns and contribute to weekly and monthly reporting.
• Train and guide medical and nursing staff, and attend daily rounds and coordination meetings.
• Report security concerns, disease outbreaks, and any operational difficulties to the Health and Program Coordinators.
• Uphold patient confidentiality, dignity, and humanitarian protection standards.

Required profile

• Pediatric Specialist with a minimum of seven years of experience, including residency.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles, Code of Conduct, PSEA, and Child Protection policies.
• Ability to work in a conflict‑affected environment and follow directives from the Medical Director.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
