QC Inspector – Civil Structural

About the role

The QC Inspector (Civil Structural) will lead quality control inspection and testing for all civil, structural and architectural works on a data‑centre and technical building project. The role ensures that construction activities strictly follow approved IFC drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and relevant standards, while maintaining complete quality records for project close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the project Quality Control Plan across earthworks, concrete works, structural steel erection, masonry, waterproofing, architectural finishes, external civil works and raised access floor installation.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications and method statements to verify compliance before and during construction.
• Inspect incoming materials (reinforcement steel, aggregates, cement, waterproofing membranes, finishes) against submittals, test certificates and material specs.
• Monitor concrete production, placement and curing; coordinate independent testing of mix designs, slump and compressive strength.
• Witness and document non‑destructive testing (NDT) of structural steel welds, including visual inspection and ultrasonic testing (UT).
• Issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), track corrective actions and ensure satisfactory close‑out.
• Maintain accurate QC inspection records, test reports, material certificates and photographic evidence.
• Participate in client, company or external quality audits and support audit finding resolution.
• Prepare daily QC logs, weekly status reports and verify As‑Built drawings for accurate project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of QC inspection experience on major building or infrastructure projects, including at least 3 years on data‑centre or mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes and ITP‑based quality management systems.
• Proven ability to issue NCRs, conduct root‑cause analysis and manage corrective actions.
