QC Inspector – ELV/ICT

About the role

The QC Inspector – ELV/ICT will lead quality control activities for all Extra‑Low Voltage and ICT systems in a data‑centre and technical building project in Damascus. You will ensure installations, testing and commissioning meet approved drawings, specifications, ITPs and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the project Quality Control Plan for ELV/ICT installations, testing and pre‑commissioning.
• Review and verify that work follows IFC drawings, specifications, design documents and manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct inspections and witness activities according to approved ITPs for structured cabling, DCIM, CCTV, access control, fire detection, and network equipment.
• Document structured cabling test results for Cat6 copper and OM4/OS2 fibre using calibrated equipment (e.g., Fluke DSX‑600).
• Inspect security system installations, verify camera positioning, access‑control device placement and intruder‑detection zones.
• Witness fire detection and suppression system commissioning, ensuring compliance with NFPA 72/75.
• Review material submittals, issue Non‑Conformance Reports and track corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain complete QC records, test reports, certificates and photographic evidence.
• Prepare daily QC logs and contribute to weekly status reports for the Site Manager.
• Support the compilation of As‑Built records and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Electrical or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of QC inspection experience on ICT infrastructure, ELV systems or data‑centre projects.
• At least 3 years in a QC inspector role on mission‑critical or data‑centre environments.

Required skills

• Structured cabling testing (Cat6 copper, OM4/OS2 fibre) using calibrated field equipment (Fluke DSX‑600 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of NFPA 72/75 fire detection and suppression standards.
• Experience with DCIM sensors, CCTV, access‑control and intruder‑detection systems.
• Ability to read and verify IFC drawings, specifications and manufacturer installation guides.
• Proficiency in issuing and tracking Non‑Conformance Reports.
• Strong documentation skills for QC records, test certificates and As‑Built dossiers.
