External Relations & Partnerships Manager

About the role

The External Relations & Partnerships Manager will lead SYCAC’s partnership development, donor engagement and representation with coordination platforms and government stakeholders. Based in Damascus, the role supports the sustainability of SYCAC’s programmes and expands funding and collaboration opportunities across Syria and Turkey.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with existing and potential donors, foundations and international partners.
• Develop and submit grant proposals, reports and compliance documentation in line with donor requirements.
• Represent SYCAC in coordination mechanisms, working groups and meetings with government authorities and other NGOs.
• Coordinate joint initiatives, ensuring alignment with SYCAC’s strategic objectives and programme priorities.
• Maintain a partnership database, track engagement activities and monitor funding pipelines.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management on partnership opportunities and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in external relations, donor management or partnership development within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven track record of securing and managing multi‑year funding.
• Strong understanding of the Syrian context and experience working with local and international stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
