About the role
The Loan Officer will oversee the design and evolution of financial products for the project. He/she will support the structuring study consultant, act as a liaison between potential customers, partners and NEF, and implement study recommendations throughout the project.
Key responsibilities
- Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare applicant lists and coordinate field visits with Field Associates.
- Conduct social verifications and supervise site monitoring visits.
- Monitor overdue borrowers, follow up promptly, and report updates.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, SOPs, donor requirements and local regulations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in loan processing, credit management or financial product development.
- Strong understanding of lending practices, credit assessment and documentation.
- Knowledge of financial compliance regulations and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with loan management systems.
- Ability to use relevant financial software.
