Nutritionist – Aleppo, Tal Elhajar PHC

About the role

MedGlobal is seeking a Nutritionist to join its Nutrition Team at the Tal Elhajar Primary Health Center in Aleppo, Syria. The role focuses on delivering nutrition interventions during emergency situations, supporting vulnerable children, pregnant and lactating women.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional surveys for children and pregnant/lactating women.
• Identify and screen cases of acute malnutrition using MUAC and other indicators.
• Admit eligible individuals to the therapeutic feeding program and ensure proper follow‑up.
• Distribute therapeutic or supplementary foods according to protocol.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, admissions, and distributions.
• Provide training and capacity‑building to community health workers on nutrition screening and treatment.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health or a related field.
• Experience working in humanitarian or emergency nutrition programs.
• Ability to conduct field assessments and interpret nutritional data.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MUAC measurement and therapeutic feeding protocols.
• Familiarity with nutrition survey tools and data collection methods.
