Pharmacy Technician – Afrin Almahaba Hospital (Syria)

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician will work at Afrin Almahaba Hospital, supporting the delivery of safe and effective medication to patients in a humanitarian health setting. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists and the medical team to ensure accurate dispensing and proper inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications to patients according to prescriptions and pharmacist instructions.
• Prepare, organize, and store pharmaceutical supplies following safety and infection‑prevention protocols.
• Monitor stock levels, check expiry dates, and report any shortages promptly.
• Receive medication shipments, verify quantities, expiry dates, and packaging integrity.
• Document all dispensing and receiving activities and maintain accurate pharmacy records.
• Follow medication safety, proper storage, and infection‑prevention procedures at all times.
• Coordinate with the pharmacist and medical team to ensure the safe use of medications.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
• Valid professional license where applicable.
• At least one year of experience in a pharmacy or hospital setting (preferred).
• Good knowledge of medications, storage, and dispensing procedures.
• Strong computer and data‑documentation skills, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
