Recruitment Specialist (HR)

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to lead end‑to‑end talent acquisition and onboarding for its Syria operation. You will ensure that recruitment processes are timely, fair, transparent, and aligned with DRC policies, national labour law, and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Validate recruitment requests against approved staffing plans and budgets.
• Review and refine job descriptions, vacancy announcements, and selection criteria.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle: advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and offering.
• Provide technical guidance to hiring managers and HR colleagues on best practices.
• Maintain recruitment metrics, produce regular reports, and identify process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with DRC HR policies, local legislation, and donor regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in an international or humanitarian setting.
• Strong knowledge of national labour legislation and donor compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple vacancies simultaneously.
