Senior Airport Services Agent – Ground Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Airport Services Agent to join Qatar Airways’ Outstations team in Damascus, supporting ground operations and ensuring high‑quality passenger service across check‑in, boarding, lounges and baggage handling.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise constantly with check‑in, transfer desk and related areas to ensure smooth passenger acceptance.
• Support the Airport Services Supervisor and coordinate with GHA for hotel and transfer passenger processing.
• Escort and direct arriving and departing passengers to hotel desk, visa counter, transfer desk, premium lounges and boarding gates.
• Assist the duty officer with company material and records.
• Provide passenger assistance regarding entry requirements, visas and residence permits.
• Manage mishandled baggage services and service‑recovery situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient unit function.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in airport operations for a leading airline.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• High energy, positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Completed courses in Passenger Handling and Customer Services (preferred).
• High level of computer literacy.

Required skills

• DCS experience and knowledge of ticketing (advantage).
• Ability to manage mishandled baggage and service recovery.
• Customer‑focused service delivery.
