Social Behavior Change Educator (SBC) – Aleppo, Syria

About the role

The Social Behavior Change (SBC) Educator will lead health‑awareness campaigns in Tal Elhajar, Aleppo, conducting visits to homes, schools and community gathering places to promote healthier behaviours and connect beneficiaries with available services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing awareness campaigns at the centre and in public facilities such as schools and community gathering places.
• Act as a liaison between beneficiaries and the health services offered at the centre.
• Perform sensitivity assessments, identify cases in need according to predetermined criteria, and tailor messages to individual situations.
• Manage cases while adhering to privacy protocols and maintaining accurate records.
• Make internal and external referrals, update feedback and referral forms, and ensure follow‑up.

Required profile

• Experience in community health outreach or behaviour‑change activities.
• Ability to assess community needs and tailor health messages accordingly.
• Strong interpersonal skills for linking beneficiaries with services.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following case‑management protocols.
