Acceptance Handover Manager – Data Centre & Facility

About the role

The Acceptance Handover Manager is responsible for planning, managing and controlling the acceptance and handover process of data‑centre and technical‑building projects. Acting as the bridge between construction, testing & commissioning and operations, the role ensures that all systems are inspected, tested and verified against contractual and design requirements before the facility is handed over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the acceptance and handover plan, defining stages, criteria and documentation for each system.
• Review contractor testing, commissioning plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for alignment with contractual requirements.
• Coordinate and witness FAT, SAT and integrated system tests for power, cooling, fire detection/suppression and ELV/BMS.
• Manage snagging and punch‑list processes, track progress and verify close‑out.
• Compile and review handover documentation including test records, calibration certificates, warranties, As‑Built drawings, O&M manuals and training records.
• Chair acceptance meetings with contractors, consultants, client and operations teams and follow up on actions.
• Plan phased handovers, ensure training of client operations staff and issue acceptance certificates and close‑out reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years experience in construction, testing & commissioning or handover of major projects.
• At least 5 years in acceptance or handover management for data centres, mission‑critical facilities or mega‑infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data‑centre critical systems and their testing/acceptance requirements.
