Accountant – Full‑Scope Finance Role

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure accurate reporting across the organization. The role involves handling both payable and receivable functions, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting budgeting and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily accounting transactions and maintain precise financial records.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries with correct account classification.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and accounting reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Calculate, report, and ensure compliance for tax and VAT.
• Monitor customer collections and supplier payments.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all accounting transactions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and local regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide timely financial information.
• Utilise the company’s ERP system, preferably Al‑Amin, for data entry and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of full‑scope accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, general ledger, budgeting, taxation, VAT, and financial statements.
• Hands‑on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end closing.
• Proven experience working with ERP systems; Al‑Amin experience highly preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and local tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
