Asset Management Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Telecom Asset Specialist to act as the technical authority for telecom asset identification and lifecycle management. You will define data requirements, survey standards, governance rules and quality controls across network and site assets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce asset management standards, including mandatory attributes, naming conventions, tagging, serial/model capture and location hierarchy.
• Provide technical guidance for classification of telecom and datacenter equipment such as chassis, shelves, cards, modules, optics, power systems and racks.
• Lead quality assurance activities through sampling reviews, peer validation, discrepancy analysis and corrective‑action tracking.
• Coordinate with field survey teams, engineering, inventory specialists, vendors, procurement and finance to align asset information.
• Maintain reconciliation logic between physical surveys, CMDB records, inventory databases, ERP registers and purchase records.
• Support lifecycle governance processes from creation to disposal and manage evidence retention.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, exception reports, data‑quality dashboards and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with asset governance standards, site regulations and safety requirements, and support audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, IT, Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–12+ years of experience in telecom asset management, network audit, physical inventory, CMDB administration, ITAM or infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Strong technical expertise in identifying telecom and datacenter equipment by vendor, model, chassis, module, card, serial number and location attributes.
• Proven experience developing asset survey standards, reconciliation methodologies and lifecycle governance processes.
