Data Protection & Cybersecurity Trainer

About the role

The International Humanitarian Relief Association is seeking a trainer to deliver a focused programme on data protection and cybersecurity. The training aims to enhance participants’ understanding of data protection principles, cybersecurity best practices, and compliance with international standards such as GDPR. By strengthening information security practices, the trainer will help staff handle personal and organisational data responsibly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions covering data protection principles and cybersecurity best practices.
• Assist staff in preventing, identifying, and responding to data security incidents.
• Explain compliance requirements with international standards, including GDPR.
• Provide practical guidance on incident‑response procedures and secure data handling.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data protection and cybersecurity, preferably within humanitarian or non‑profit environments.
• Familiarity with GDPR and other international data protection regulations.
