Electrical Engineer – Water & Irrigation Infrastructure

About the role
This position provides electrical engineering expertise for critical potable water supply and irrigation infrastructure projects in Syria. The engineer will support design review, procurement, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and quality assurance across power, pumping and solar energy systems.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in needs assessments and design of electrical systems for water supply, irrigation, power supply, pumps, control systems and solar PV.
- Prepare, verify and review technical documents such as specifications, scopes of work, BoQs, cost estimates, design calculations and drawings.
- Support tender preparation, evaluate proposals and ensure compliance with international standards and HSSE guidelines.
- Conduct site inspections, produce detailed reports, and monitor contractor performance against contracts.
- Coordinate system testing, commissioning, training and hand‑over to beneficiaries.
- Analyse project progress, schedule, budget and quality, and document stakeholder meetings.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in infrastructure projects, preferably water supply, irrigation or renewable energy.
- Familiarity with international standards and HSSE requirements.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
