Finance Manager

About the role

Oxfam is recruiting a Finance Manager for its affiliate in Syria. The role manages and coordinates the effective and efficient implementation of financial support across the country office and in the programmes, advises on best practice, ensures compliance and governance in all areas of financial management, and builds a team that can respond innovatively to support programme delivery.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or Accountancy, or significant relevant experience at this level with international agencies or NGOs
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated leadership, team management and capacity-building experience
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal)
• Personal alignment with Oxfam's mission to end poverty and its feminist principles of empowerment, accountability and inclusion

Required skills

• Competence in relevant technology systems (MS Office suite, financial accounting, accuracy)
• Budget management
• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong influencing and networking
• Desirable: previous experience with a people soft database, coaching ability, CMA certification, and proactive problem anticipation
