Project Manager – Design

About the role

ARADA, a leading master developer in the Middle East, is expanding its presence in Syria and seeks a Project Manager – Design to oversee the design delivery of major residential, mixed‑use and master‑planned projects. Reporting to the Design Director, you will coordinate consultants and internal teams to ensure projects meet quality, programme and commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design briefs and RFPs, defining technical scope for lead and sub‑consultancy procurement.
• Manage project procurement, ensuring comprehensive coverage of scope across all consultants.
• Respond to consultant and contractor tender queries, coordinating with Design Managers and the Contracts & Commercial Department.
• Maintain a consultant database and oversee pre‑qualification processes.
• Monitor design team workload, allocate tasks and develop standardized templates, forms and trackers.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including plans, schedules and progress records.
• Provide regular status, risk and progress reports to senior leadership and update the company dashboard.
• Liaise with project teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements, objectives and deliverables.
• Track authority applications and NOCs, preparing summary reports on progress and associated risks.

Required profile

• Experience managing day‑to‑day design delivery for large‑scale development projects.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills for handling procurement, documentation and reporting.
• Capability to monitor risks, issues and provide actionable recommendations.
