Senior Lead Auditor

About the role

The Senior Lead Auditor reviews governance, risk and control systems, policies, procedures and processes, and recommends improvements to strengthen the risk management framework and internal controls. The role also monitors internal controls, mitigates risks to the organization and provides feedback on audit plans and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned organizational and functional internal audit activities and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of their controls.
• Check whether units comply with management instructions, policies and procedures and organizational objectives.
• Plan, execute, report and follow up on engagements according to internal audit standards; perform ad-hoc reviews and forensic investigations on request.
• Survey functions and activities, plan the scope, prepare engagement plans and work programs, and choose procedures such as statistical sampling, data analytics and information technology.
• Comply with company policies and international audit standards, explain them to auditees, and ensure 100% compliance with the scheduled audit program.
• Visit departments and sites regularly, support remediation of mistakes, identify key control points and recommend staff needed to complete engagements.
• Analyze information to form an objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of systems, prepare formal written reports, and follow up monthly on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Accounts and Finance.
• Professional degree in CPA or CIA.
• At least 5 years' experience as a Supervisor or Senior Internal Auditor.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal audit, risk management and external audit, and of the Internal Audit Institute Code of Conduct.
• Excellent knowledge of financial process and operational audit, and of fundamental audit processes.
• Forensic audit and investigation experience with analytical skills and attention to detail.
• SAP functional knowledge is required.
• Data analytics experience, preferably with ACL.
