Senior Project Engineer

About the role

This Senior Project Engineer oversees construction projects from conception to completion, managing schedules, budgets and quality while coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee projects from start to finish, keeping them within schedule, budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications and timelines.
• Supervise site activities, scheduling labour, materials and equipment.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, risks and issues and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks against design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review contracts, change orders and progress reports.
• Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders and project teams on status, milestones and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets and expenditures, tracking costs and forecasting expenses.
• Identify process improvements and support HSE initiatives, safety awareness and incident reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of working experience, 5 years of relevant experience; 2 years in the GCC is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of construction principles, methods and materials.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management software for scheduling, budgeting and documentation.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, which are required for success in this role.
