Tour Operator

About the role

Syria Scope Travel is a local travel agency in Syria that designs private and group tours showcasing the country's heritage and culture. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Tour Operator based in Damascus. The role plans, organises and coordinates tours, including transportation, accommodation and activities, and keeps every trip running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coordinate private and group tours, arranging transport, accommodation and activities.
• Manage reservations and prepare detailed itineraries.
• Communicate with clients, answer inquiries, give destination information and handle changes or special requests.
• Collaborate with guides and local partners and oversee customer service before, during and after tours.
• Support sales by promoting the agency's packages.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of travel and tourism, including local destinations, cultural sites and tour planning.
• Experience organising guided tours and coordinating with tour guides and local service providers.
• Customer service skills, able to respond to inquiries, manage expectations and resolve issues professionally.
• Hands-on experience with reservations and basic booking systems for transport, accommodation and activities.
• Sales skills to promote packages, upsell services and build long-term client relationships.
• Effective verbal and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working on-site in Damascus with diverse travellers.
• Previous travel agency, tour operations or hospitality experience preferred; tourism, hospitality or business education beneficial.
