About the role
The Admin Officer will ensure a safe, efficient and compliant operating environment for GOAL’s team in Damascus. Acting as the first point of contact for staff, partners and visitors, the role supports day‑to‑day office operations and logistical arrangements that enable programme delivery across Syria.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate induction of new staff, providing workspaces, equipment and orientation.
- Organise travel logistics, including airport transfers, vehicle arrangements, flight bookings, visas and accommodation for staff and visitors.
- Maintain office and kitchen supplies, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Support international staff and visitors with visa, permit applications and accommodation, liaising with government authorities as needed.
- Coordinate submission of GOAL’s legal documentation to relevant authorities.
- Manage procurement requests (PRs) for the Damascus office.
- Oversee premises, lease agreements and relationships with landlords.
Required profile
- Proven experience in office administration or similar support role.
- Familiarity with travel coordination, visa processes and local regulatory requirements.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
