Mid Android Mobile Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mid‑level Android Mobile Engineer to own the end‑to‑end delivery of medium‑to-large features on our on‑demand e‑commerce app. You will work closely with product, design, QA and backend teams to turn ideas into reliable, high‑quality releases that improve the shopping experience across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and production rollout of medium‑to‑large Android features.
• Break down requirements, estimate effort, manage risks and dependencies with minimal supervision.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
• Design scalable modules that follow the team’s architecture standards and mobile best‑practice patterns.
• Ensure post‑launch stability through proactive testing, monitoring and debugging.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, QA and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Improve team efficiency by introducing automation, tooling enhancements and better documentation.
• Provide constructive code reviews and informal mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libraries.
• Familiarity with Dependency Injection frameworks and modern mobile architecture principles.
• Experience designing and building Android features following best practices and design patterns.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization, testing, debugging and version control with Git.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and communicate effectively.
• Experience with app analytics or crash‑reporting tools such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics is a plus.
