Payroll Manager

About the role

The Payroll Manager leads end‑to‑end payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely processing and full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role oversees the payroll team and drives continuous improvement across the payroll function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete payroll cycle, including salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and end‑of‑service benefits.
• Guarantee payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance, and company policies.
• Review, verify, and approve payroll reports, reconciliations, adjustments, and final outputs before processing.
• Administer and maintain payroll and HRIS systems, handling updates, integrations, testing, and enhancements.
• Prepare payroll reports, financial reconciliations, variance analyses, and management dashboards.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure correct payroll accounting, accruals, and GL reconciliation.
• Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team to achieve operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and best practices.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure audit readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
• Professional payroll, HR, or finance certifications preferred.
• Minimum 7 + years payroll administration experience.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial payroll role.
• Experience in large or complex payroll environments.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
