Project Assistant – Community Based Protection (Hasakeh)

About the role

The Project Assistant supports the Community Mobilization Based Protection Officer in delivering protection activities for vulnerable populations in Hasakeh. Working within ACTED's humanitarian programmes, the role contributes to community engagement, communication, and safeguarding initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing and monitoring community mobilisation activities in mobile response settings.
• Develop and follow‑up on the Communication with Communities (CwC) scheme.
• Collect, analyse and report data on protection activities and community feedback.
• Ensure compliance with ACTED’s greening strategy and environmental standards.
• Adhere to the PSEAH policy, complete mandatory trainings and report any safeguarding concerns.
• Coordinate with local partners, volunteers and other project staff to ensure effective delivery of protection services.

Required profile

• Willingness to work in a humanitarian context and follow ACTED’s protection and safeguarding policies.
• Ability to work in a mobile, field‑based environment.
• Good understanding of community‑based protection concepts.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
