Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support multi‑disciplinary construction projects by delivering accurate cost estimates, managing budgets and ensuring that tender documentation meets project requirements. The role involves on‑site visits during the pre‑tender phase and close collaboration with senior surveyors and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications, materials and labour.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures and flag variances to keep projects within financial limits.
• Assist in the tendering process: prepare tender documents, analyse bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administer construction contracts, process change orders and resolve contractual disputes.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from architectural and engineering drawings to determine material and labour requirements.
• Implement cost‑control measures, identify value‑engineering opportunities and manage risk related to cost overruns or schedule delays.
• Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure work complies with specifications and standards.
• Prepare regular progress and cost reports for stakeholders and support HSE initiatives on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on‑site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with contract administration and tender processes.
