CME QC Inspector / Surveyor

About the role

The CME QC Inspector / Surveyor will perform on‑site quality assurance and control inspections for civil, mechanical and electrical works within a national data‑center programme. Acting on behalf of the client’s Project Management Consultant, the role ensures that contractor work complies with approved designs, standards such as TIA‑942, and relevant codes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works against drawings, specifications and standards (TIA‑942, ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Conduct independent setting‑out and survey checks using total station and auto‑level instruments.
• Verify material and mill test certificates before incorporation into works.
• Witness and sign off on Inspection and Test Plan hold‑points across all disciplines.
• Perform earthing and grounding tests, including continuity and resistance measurements.
• Record commissioning and acceptance tests through Level 1‑5 sequences.
• Raise and track Non‑Conformance Reports to closure.
• Maintain punch lists, re‑inspect rectified items and ensure safety compliance (permit‑to‑work, lock‑out/tag‑out).
• Organise quality records and provide daily/weekly inspection reports.
• Coordinate inspection schedules with contractors and supervision teams.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent trade certification.
• 3‑5 years of site QA/QC, field inspection or survey experience on building, MEP or infrastructure projects; data‑center exposure is a plus.
• Recognised construction safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA 30 or equivalent) preferred.
• Familiarity with quality documentation and codes such as ACI 318, BS EN and NFPA.

Required skills
