Communications Assistant

About the role

INOV8, a consulting and technology partner focused on growth, is hiring a full-time, on-site Communications Assistant in Damascus. The role supports internal and external communication activities, helping to keep messaging consistent across digital channels and to coordinate communication plans for campaigns and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit press releases, announcements and other written materials
• Maintain consistent messaging across digital channels and prepare content for internal communications
• Assist in coordinating communication plans for campaigns and initiatives
• Conduct basic research and organize information for leadership
• Update communication templates
• Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to ensure clear, accurate and timely communication
• Monitor communication feedback, support event-related communications and contribute to improving INOV8's communication practices

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in a communications, marketing or administrative support role is an advantage, especially in consulting or technology-driven environments
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders

Required skills

• Clear, concise and professional business writing
• Experience or training in press releases and strategic communications, and in internal communications such as staff updates
• Proficiency with office productivity tools and basic digital communication platforms (email marketing tools, social media, content management systems)
