Education Project Manager

About the role

The Education Project Manager will drive the design and delivery of library‑based education initiatives in Damascus, supporting BSF’s mission to provide easy access to information and cultural resources for human development and human rights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of education‑focused library projects in Damascus and surrounding areas.
• Oversee the selection and curation of digital and physical educational content, ensuring relevance to beneficiaries’ language, literacy level and objectives.
• Coordinate with local partners, donors and BSF teams to develop and deliver creative programmes that improve access to information and culture.
• Monitor project progress, manage budgets and report outcomes to the regional office.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to education, cultural access and human‑rights values.
• Experience working in international NGOs or development projects, preferably in the library or information sector.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
