Emergency & Pediatrics Resident Doctor

About the role

The Independent Doctors Association is seeking a motivated Resident Doctor to join its emergency and pediatric services at Al‑Mahabba Hospital in Afrin, Aleppo countryside. You will work in a high‑need environment providing essential care to displaced and host‑community patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage emergency and pediatric patients presenting to the hospital.
• Provide appropriate medical treatment, monitor patient progress, and adjust therapy as needed.
• Handle acute and critical cases, including participation in resuscitation and stabilization procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately.

Required profile

• Medical degree with eligibility for residency training in emergency medicine or pediatrics.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and ability to work in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluency in Arabic and basic proficiency in English.
