Employee Relations Team Leader

About the role

The Employee Relations Team Leader will support the implementation of employee relations programs, policies and procedures at Damascus International Airport. The role focuses on maintaining positive communication with staff, promoting satisfaction and ensuring compliance with HR legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing short‑ to mid‑term departmental plans and promote customer‑centric, fair people practices.
• Monitor performance of direct reports, recommend corrective actions and oversee daily attendance records.
• Analyze monthly payroll attendance reports and issue warnings according to the sanction matrix.
• Provide guidance on attendance, grievance handling, discipline, and employee separations.
• Investigate indiscipline or misconduct cases and lead disciplinary procedures.
• Handle grievance investigations confidentially and deliver unbiased resolutions.
• Communicate employee action letters such as promotions, salary adjustments and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental and quality management policies across the department.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations or HR with knowledge of current legislation.
• Ability to manage attendance, grievance and disciplinary processes with confidentiality.
• Strong analytical skills for payroll attendance analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to support managers and HR team members.
