Enterprise Finance & Credit Manager – National Role

About the role

Near East Foundation is seeking an Enterprise Finance & Credit Manager to lead national finance activities in Syria. The role will support enterprise growth, develop financing structures, and manage credit portfolios across crisis‑affected markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement financing solutions for local enterprises, including loans, guarantees and equity investments.
• Assess credit risk and oversee the credit approval process for a portfolio of enterprise clients.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local banks, investors, and development partners to mobilize capital.
• Monitor financial performance of funded enterprises and ensure compliance with NEF policies.
• Provide strategic financial analysis to the Country Director and contribute to national budgeting and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise finance, investment banking, or development finance.
• Strong understanding of credit assessment, financial structuring and partnership development.
• Ability to work in challenging, crisis‑affected environments and navigate local market dynamics.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with fluency in English.
