General Manager – Life Support & Logistics

About the role

The General Manager will lead on‑site operations in Damascus, overseeing the delivery of comprehensive life support and logistics services for defense and international contractor clients. This full‑time position is responsible for coordinating multiple service lines, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations across workforce management, vehicle/equipment leasing, housing, transportation, dining facilities, and construction support.
• Develop and implement operational plans, monitor performance indicators, and manage budgets.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, addressing operational issues promptly.
• Report project status to senior leadership and support strategic planning and business development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations or general management, preferably in logistics, facilities management, or life support services.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse, cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability in budgeting, resource planning, and performance management.
• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics or related field (equivalent experience acceptable).
