IT Security Manager (Hybrid Infrastructure)

About the role

The IT Security Manager will lead and manage DP World’s information security function for the Tartus location, covering both on‑premises and Microsoft Azure environments. The role is responsible for developing security strategies, governance frameworks, and risk‑management practices that protect business systems, data, and technology assets while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of information security policies, standards, and governance frameworks aligned with DP World’s cybersecurity program.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable cybersecurity regulations, internal security standards, and requirements set by the Tartus Port Authority.
• Act as the primary local representative for DP World cybersecurity, promoting corporate security strategies and initiatives across the organization.
• Oversee internal and external security audits, regulatory inspections, compliance assessments, and certification activities, ensuring timely remediation of findings.
• Lead the cybersecurity risk‑management program, directing risk assessments, control evaluations, and risk‑treatment activities.
• Report on security compliance posture, governance maturity, key risk indicators, and control effectiveness to executive and regional cybersecurity leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading information security functions in hybrid (on‑premises and cloud) environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and audit processes.
• Experience working with senior executives and influencing security‑related decision making.
• Ability to foster a culture of security awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
