Legal Advisor – Hybrid (Damascus, Syria)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal Advisor to support a retail company in Damascus, providing practical legal guidance across its business and day‑to‑day operations. The position is hybrid, allowing work both on‑site and remotely while focusing on commercial, operational and employment matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial and operational matters.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Syrian laws and regulations.
• Advise on employment and business‑related legal issues.
• Support dealings with relevant authorities when required.
• Identify potential legal risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Relevant legal experience in Syria.
• Strong knowledge of Syrian commercial and corporate regulations.
• Experience supporting retail or private‑sector companies (preferred).
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice.
