Lighting Division Manager

About the role

The Lighting Division Manager leads all operations of the lighting department within a contracting firm, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client specifications. This senior position coordinates sales, design, procurement, and site teams while driving profitability and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end lighting projects from enquiry through design coordination, quotation, procurement, installation support and handover.
• Develop divisional plans, sales strategies and operational priorities aligned with company goals.
• Review client requirements, specifications, drawings and bills of quantities to propose appropriate lighting solutions.
• Supervise preparation of quotations, technical submittals, material approvals, lighting schedules and compliance documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Monitor division performance metrics such as sales pipeline, revenue targets, margins, collections and customer satisfaction.
• Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key clients and consultants, and expand the product and project portfolio.
• Guide, supervise and evaluate the lighting team, ensuring accurate task allocation and professional performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, Architecture, Business Administration or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in lighting, construction, MEP, fit‑out or related project‑based industries.
• Previous managerial experience in a lighting division or similar contracting environment.
