Maternal and Child Health Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a senior Maternal and Child Health Expert to provide strategic and technical support to the Syrian Ministry of Health. The role focuses on strengthening maternal and child health services, nutrition programming, and health system governance within Syria's humanitarian and early‑recovery context.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance for large‑scale, multi‑partner nutrition and health programmes.
• Support evidence‑based policy development and programme design, including reviewing theories of change and implementation plans.
• Strengthen institutional capacity and governance of the Ministry of Health, promoting accountability and sustainable development.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in public health, development, or nutrition, with a focus on health systems strengthening in Syria.
• 3–5 years in a senior technical role delivering strategic guidance for large‑scale, multi‑partner programmes.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with cultural sensitivity.
