MHPSS Expert – Deir ez-Zor

About the role

The MHPSS Expert will lead the design, coordination and technical quality of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services at the centre level in Deir ez‑Zor. Working for Mari Research and Development, a non‑profit dedicated to peacebuilding, protection, psychosocial support and community resilience, the expert will ensure interventions are survivor‑centred, evidence‑based and aligned with international standards such as the IASC guidelines and the Istanbul Protocol. The position contributes to MRD’s broader mission of empowering vulnerable populations, including survivors of detention and torture, families of the missing, women and youth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor MHPSS activities at the centre.
• Supervise and mentor MHPSS Facilitators to maintain high‑quality service delivery.
• Ensure all interventions follow IASC guidelines, the Istanbul Protocol and MRD safeguarding standards.
