Occupational Health Doctor

About the role

The Occupational Health Doctor is responsible for safeguarding employee health by conducting medical examinations, assessments and screenings, and providing expert advice on workplace health and safety issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform medical examinations, assessments and screenings for employees to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide medical advice and guidance to employees and management on occupational health topics, including ergonomics and personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with HSE teams to develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures and training programs.
• Conduct health risk assessments of workplace environments and recommend measures to mitigate hazards such as chemicals, noise or radiation.
• Respond to medical emergencies, delivering first aid, CPR and other necessary interventions.
• Monitor and analyse health and safety data, including injury and illness reports, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Participate in incident investigations, determine root causes and suggest corrective actions.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor with experience in occupational health or related fields.
• Ability to work closely with HSE teams and management.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret health and safety data.
• Capability to respond promptly to medical emergencies in the workplace.
