Planning Manager – Syria

About the role

Arada is expanding into the Syrian market with a landmark integrated community west of Damascus. The Planning Manager will lead planning, scheduling and project‑control activities across pre‑ and post‑contract phases, ensuring realistic, integrated programmes that align with development objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and manage integrated master programmes for multiple development packages.
• Establish planning and progress‑monitoring systems, conduct programme workshops, and monitor critical paths.
• Prepare bi‑weekly and monthly planning reports, dashboards and KPI analyses for senior management.
• Analyse delay events, assess Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and support claims management.
• Coordinate procurement and design interfaces, ensuring milestones are reflected in the overall schedule.
• Provide planning direction to consultant and contractor teams, enforce KPIs and facilitate regular progress meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
• 10–12 years of planning, scheduling and project‑controls experience on large‑scale construction or real‑estate developments.
• Proven experience managing baseline, recovery and EOT programmes across pre‑ and post‑contract phases.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors in the Middle East preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Power BI.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, AACE, PMI‑SP or equivalent.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, progress measurement and delay analysis.
