Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the goods and services needed to support the organization’s operations and projects. The role focuses on cost‑effective procurement, timely delivery, and strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and procure materials, equipment, and services according to business requirements.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, and service levels.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support operational and project needs.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement best‑practice procurement processes.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and provide support.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, for procurement activities and reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in procurement or supply‑chain functions.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Professional certification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics is an advantage.
