Program Coordinator – Lead Technical Unit in Syria

About the role

Terre des hommes (Tdh) is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator (Head of Programs) to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across its Syria program portfolio. The role will lead the Technical Unit, ensuring quality, coherence, relevance, and continuous improvement of current and emerging interventions while contributing to business development, partnerships, evidence generation, and organizational learning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of Tdh Syria’s program strategy in line with the Country Strategy and organizational priorities.
• Ensure technical coherence, program quality, accountability, safeguarding, and evidence‑based programming across all projects and areas of intervention.
• Supervise and mentor the Technical Unit staff, fostering a collaborative and results‑oriented environment.
• Support business development activities, partnership building, and evidence generation to strengthen Tdh’s strategic positioning in Syria.
• Monitor program performance, prepare reports, and recommend improvements for continuous learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program coordination and leadership within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of program quality, safeguarding, and evidence‑based approaches.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and external partners.
