Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our accounting function, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with GAAP. The role supports strategic decision‑making through detailed financial analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general and cost accounting activities, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements and support month‑end closing and management reporting.
• Analyze financial data, costs, revenues, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights.
• Conduct internal audits, ensure compliance with financial policies, and monitor fixed assets, inventory, and cash transactions.
• Maintain and optimize accounting systems, with a focus on effective ERP utilization (preferably SAP).
• Prepare budget variance analysis and financial performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a relevant senior role.
• Experience in GCC markets is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and month‑end processes.
