Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer leads MEP mechanical projects, ensuring designs meet codes, standards and client requirements. This role provides technical leadership, manages multidisciplinary teams and oversees the delivery of high‑quality mechanical installations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute mechanical projects, adhering to specifications, codes and standards.
• Provide technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection system design.
• Collaborate with clients, architects and stakeholders to develop comprehensive design solutions.
• Manage budgets, schedules and resources to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and resolve technical issues while ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers for material and equipment procurement.
• Oversee preparation of drawings, specifications and project manuals.
• Lead project meetings, communicate status updates and address concerns.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
• Ensure successful commissioning, testing, closeout and transition to maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Profound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes and standards for MEP projects.
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client and stakeholder liaison.
• Problem‑solving aptitude to address complex technical challenges.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required.
