Siraj Manager – Operations & Project Lead

About the role

The Siraj Manager leads the establishment and operation of community‑based agricultural centers in Aleppo. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role combines site setup, team recruitment, project monitoring, and financial oversight to ensure successful delivery of loan‑based agricultural programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site selection, refurbishment, and obtain all required local authorizations.
• Recruit, supervise and develop the community‑based team, ensuring a strong culture and removing implementation barriers.
• Manage the full loan workflow from expression of interest to disbursement, maintaining accurate documentation and technical trackers.
• Oversee cash handling, end‑of‑day reporting, and loan portfolio records to achieve high repayment rates.
• Coordinate procurement, logistics and safety procedures with the Operations and Security managers.
• Prepare weekly and monthly technical reports and support Monitoring & Evaluation documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business administration, economics, finance or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience managing teams in agricultural production or processing and at least five years in project management, preferably with international NGOs.
• Strong understanding of the local agricultural and security context.
• Very good spoken English proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Google Drive for document management.
• Ability to create and interpret Gantt charts and flow charts for project planning.
• Cash management and procurement process expertise.
