Site Project Manager

About the role

The Site Project Manager will lead on‑site activities for data centre and technical building projects, ensuring construction, fit‑out, installation and testing are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. Acting as the primary on‑site representative, the role coordinates contractors, stakeholders and the senior project manager to drive project success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, ELV and fit‑out disciplines throughout construction, installation and commissioning phases.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with programme, method statements and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Enforce HSE requirements, conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and incident reporting to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor progress against the baseline schedule, identify deviations and implement recovery actions in collaboration with planning and engineering teams.
• Lead regular site progress and coordination meetings, record actions and follow up with contractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Oversee site logistics, including access, material deliveries, storage, housekeeping and security.
• Coordinate inspections and testing per approved Inspection and Test Plans, supporting commissioning of power, cooling, fire suppression and ELV/BMS systems.
• Maintain comprehensive site records such as daily reports, diaries, photographs, NCRs and as‑built mark‑ups.
• Verify quantities and progress claims, assist in variation assessment and interim payment applications.
• Interface with clients, consultants, authorities and utilities for approvals, inspections and service connections.
• Manage handover activities, including snagging, punch‑list close‑out and preparation of O&M documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of construction and site management experience, with at least 5 years on data centre, mission‑critical or mega‑infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including MV/LV power distribution, UPS, generator systems, precision cooling, fire detection and suppression, and ELV/BMS systems.
