Case Worker

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Case Worker to join its Protection Division in Aleppo. The role involves delivering case management and assistance services to vulnerable migrants, including children, trafficking victims and survivors of gender‑based violence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess beneficiaries' protection needs and develop individualized assistance plans.
• Coordinate and monitor the delivery of assistance, ensuring plans meet identified goals.
• Provide case management services to vulnerable groups such as unaccompanied children, trafficking victims, and survivors of gender‑based violence.
• Work under the supervision of the Head of Programme and the AVRR Programme Coordinator, reporting on case progress and outcomes.

Required profile

• University degree in social work, psychology, law or related field with at least three years relevant experience, or high school diploma with five years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in protection, counter‑trafficking, child protection, gender‑based violence or humanitarian assistance.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality.
