Cash Accountant

About the role

The Cash Accountant is responsible for overseeing all cash transactions across the organization. This role ensures accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of cash flows while maintaining strong relationships with banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions, including payments received and issued.
• Match cash balances with bank statements and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Manage relationships with banks, handling indemnity and chargeback requests.
• Process loan transactions and ensure compliance with loan agreements.
• Issue and record payments to vendors and customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update cash flow plans according to business needs.
• Match sub‑ledger accounts with the general ledger and conduct budget checks.
• Prepare regular cash reports for management and provide insights on cash‑flow trends.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate cash accounting and reporting.
• Stay up‑to‑date on industry best practices and compliance requirements related to cash management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CMA or other relevant certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in cash management, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
